My Smart Hands with Rosemarie

Baby Sign Language for Hearing Babies

My journey to becoming a baby sign instructor started about 6 years ago, in a dear friend’s living room.  An early interventionist visited to teach sign to her hearing-impaired daughter and the family.  Later that year, I noticed my own sister using signs to communicate potty training signs with her hearing daughter.  I thought that was the best thing ever!  It took several years for the rest of the pieces to fall together, but when I took a MSH class with my husband, Michael, and our 10-month-old son, the spark was re-lit.

My career has been long and varied, starting as an educator in a well know CT shoreline organization, followed by an administrative and management path that took me through several industries.  Finally, as a full-time wife and mother and a part time assistant to an administrator in a local school district, I look forward to another leg of the journey, sharing the joy and benefits of sign with families on the Connecticut Shoreline.
